I am watching his speech tonight, and it’s time for me to acknowledge the truth here to my friends: I’m for Obama.
I’ve been for Obama since 20,000 of my friends and neighbors gathered at Auditorium Shores to hear him speak last February. Back then, I told the ex, I really would love to see him be competitive but I could not believe we lived in a country that would elect him.
I usually keep my politics close, discussed really only with my family and the ex. For the first time tonight, I asked my brother who he was supporting. He said of course Obama. Our mother is supporting McCain. The ex has been supporting Ron Paul until the race issues arose, so now he is for Obama.
Tonight he said:
We are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For, We are the Change that We Seek
I’ve been in and around politics for my entire life and I have never seen anything like this. I have never felt anything like this.
I’m for Obama.
