I have gotten help and writing this, being intensely honest about how I am feeling and paying attention to the triggers, helps me keep everything together.

I have a great support network in place and I reach out when I know I am slipping into extreme thinking, but it’s important for me to capture what causes me to slide and how I fix it.

In this case, I called my best friend W and said, “look, I need you. Let’s get a glass of wine and I need to talk.”

One of the reason that everyone in my life except BFD and LP knows what I weigh on a regular basis is so they can monitor and intervene. I am very open and honest about it, what scares me, and those danger moments. They don’t happen often, but thanks to writing here and in journals over the years, I know when and why they happen and how to pull myself out.

At this point, I am doing really well and I snapped myself out of it, but it is a struggle I will always have.
