I am seriously addicted to nuts. They are easy to acquire, so they have been my go-to snack for months.
My ridiculous consumption of nuts does not appear to be affecting my weight — my 4 pound fluctuation (now over) during the past few weeks have been travel-, pms-, and margarita/bread pudding-related.
It’s hard to say which nut is my favorite, because I have not yet met a nut I do not love. My current preferences have been dry roasted almonds from our local nut company Austinuts, raw hazelnuts from whole foods (our local grocer), and peanuts of all shapes and sizes.
I buy them so frequently from the local market, which sells the excellent Austinuts that I worry their demand drops significantly when I travel.
